In 2010, ASSIST began supporting a work in the medical community of Egypt.
The Cairo Project trains medical and health professional students in Christian discipleship so as to help them be faithful followers of Jesus Christ in their work place.
The Harpur Hospital supports a new training program for Christian physicians who are studying an integrated program of family medicine, theology, and discipleship training. The goal of this program is to help the most disadvantaged sick in society with "acts of mercy".
